Interesting prototyping process that starts with a drawing or design in Solidworks. From there the design is sent to the 3-D printer where extruded plastic rope on spools is fed through the printer, heated (Hot-Do Not Touch) to put down on the plate. The head of the printer is similar to a plotter, it moves in all directions to deliver the plastic print material or fill material one layer at a time to the plate where your product comes to life. Enjoy
Perry, any comments or info on the 3-D printer?
Thanks for looking!
Drawing and rendering done in Solidworks
Sent to the 3-D printer (Looks like R2-D2)
Printing away, laying down plastic layers with the plotter-like head
The finished product ready for packaging and distribution.
Thanks for looking. Fyi, yes Patent Pending! :-)

The only thing I would add to the 3D printer description is think of it as like a hot glue gun that is computer controlled. For the overly curious, go here, dimensionprinting.com
