Cross posting today with no photo

We have come to a difficult decision to sell/place our horses into new homes.
Are you looking for a horse in Oregon? We may have one that will fit your needs.

Just a little story with photos from the week

Week 11 of 52,  The story of the week, yes it is completely fictional & all photos were all taken with the Android Incredible phone.

The day started out with the sun shining, birds tweeting and the flowers blooming

Our animals started acting funny, more funny than usual,
they started to run in all directions for no reason.

An alert came over the airways and internets to get to Portland to see Gary Vaynerchuck at his "The Thank You Economy" book signing because if you do not show up, bad things could happen.

For a while everyone disregarded the warnings but people started talking and businesses started closing. Everything was spinning out of control

Random fires started for no reason while large machines tried but could not put the fires out.

 The uncontrollable spinning continued, Until....

Gary took the stage and told everyone to calm down,
Purchase his "The Thank You Economy" book from Amazon.com and read it, your business would be less likely to follow in the foot steps of Blockbuster and close their doors.

When the day was done, everyone listened to Gary Vaynerchuck talk about how
every business should treat customers and that you will
get a Return On Investment by caring about your customer
just by engaging in conversation with them.

Yes, I did get to meet Gary Vaynerchuck (@garyvee on twitter) when he stopped in Portland Oregon for his TYE book signing.  He spoke for about an hour and a half, a short Q&A and book signing with direct personal Q&A.  Amazing speaker and passionate about his content. Check out dailygrape.com if you are interested in wines at all, you will not be disappointed.

Day two of Super Moon on the official date of 3-19-11

I could not pass up the opportunity of shooting the Moon two days in a row.  Tonight's shots did not come out the way I wanted but on the other hand I did use a tripod, 2 second mirror lock up delay and a remote shutter release so the photo below should be a bit better than yesterdays post.

The following is info from another post I just found that is about the Super Moon.
  • As the moon closed with Earth, it would seem up to 13 percent larger and 30 brighter than normal,  NASA scientists said. "The full moon of March 19 occurs less than one hour away from perigee -- a near-perfect coincidence that happens only (every) 18 years or so."

Everyone is talking about it so here it is, "Super Moon"

This is Week 10 of my 2011-52 week project. I have had some setbacks last week and will be making more time for the blog. I hope to stay more consistent with photos and posts.

This was just shot at 10:19pm 3/18/11 just outside of Dallas Oregon.

The Lens is the Pentax DA f4-5.8 55-300 and I have the 1.4x teleconverter behind the lens. I had the lens at 260mm but with the teleconverter it took it out to 442mm.

Shutter speed was at 1/250 sec at f/5.6 at ISO 400

Yes this was one of about 15 frames and the camera was hand held.
Oh Yeah, the camera is the 6.1 megapixel Pentax IST-DS shooting RAW format.

Thanks for looking, Enjoy!
