Firefighters doing what others can't
It was only in the mid to high 70's today. I shot this for about a half hour and I was done.The local Fire Fighters are out there today and tomorrow in the hottest part of the day on 4 hour shifts.
It was nice to see the number of people with their air conditioners blowing cool air on them,actually stopped and rolled the window down to give a couple bucks. NICE JOB!

Five Bucks and shot a half hour, I even passed the photos on to the local news connections I have :-)
Hope they managed to get a good amount of money, Hope the press used them :-)
Here by us the National Sea Rescue Institude will have their annual street collection next weekend as well. For guys who all volunteer their time to risk their lives for others and mans an organisation that only keeps going through donations, I take my hat off for them.
I remember doing that for an organization I can't even remember when I was a kid...i hope they raised a lot of money.
