Look... no fall colors and no sunsets

The deer were continually distracted and spooked by a busy road only a few yards away

These were taken in Independence Oregon right next to the city park on the Willamette River

I could barely get and keep their attention, the deer were not spooked by me or the camera gear.

Nice deer set but the images are a bit flat. Mine are always this waay too. I think the deer have a low contrast aura.

Yeah I know they are flat and hard to work with. The light was fading fast and I did not have much to work with. fortunately they were not moving much. They were about 40-50 yards or more away in most of the shots. These were shot on a monopod at 1/90th, F5.8, ISO 800 to 1600 from 200 to all the way out at 300mm.

You know what... They were still fun to shoot and watch!

What? No fall colours or sunsets? How could you? Ha ha ha...

In Africa we don't have deer, we have antelope. Just in case there is somebody who will ask what the difference is. Deer loses their antlers every year and antelope keep their horn all year round.

Yup, they are very fun to watch. I think that is why when I see o ne I take a photo regardless.
