Tonights Sunset and moonrise

Tonights light show by mother nature was amazing.

The moon was even more amazing just off the horizon but I could not get the shot!

Beautiful, numbers 1 and 2 are stunning particularly like #2 the hazy light and the single tree, thats an excellent capture, and I am green with envy over the moon shot, that is fantastic, I am seriously thinking of getting a monopod, I am still hauling around a manfrotto tripod, it does an excellent job, but is cumbersome, I am saving like a crazy thing for a new lens, so hopefully economy permitting I can get a monopod too " in for a penny in for a pound" Camera gear buying is obsessive I just need to win the lottery............LOL !!!

Hey Ann, thanks for the comments! it was fun watching for content (trees, birds, hay piles) to include in the sunset shot all while trying to drive (worse than a cell phone) without getting into trouble. The Moon shot, I used an inexpensive ($40) Manfrotto monopod. it is light and easy to extend the leg all while being able to use as a walking stick.
Thanks!
